We strip an original DualSense right down. The internals get a deep clean. Then we rebuild it with a new shell, new buttons and new TMR sticks. Five per drop, and that design never comes back.

The rebuild

Only the board is Sony’s. Everything else is new.

What does that mean?

Every Grit starts as an original DualSense that has already been played. We take it fully apart and keep one thing: the board, the PCB carrying the chips and the connectors. It gets a deep clean and we test every input on it before we go on.

Everything you hold and press comes off. In its place go a new shell, new buttons and new TMR sticks, straight out of the box and into your controller, so nobody else has ever had a thumb on those sticks.

Once it is closed up we run every input one more time. Then it gets its serial number and 12 months of warranty.

Three models

Base is the rebuild itself: a deep clean, a new shell, new buttons and new TMR sticks. Tactile adds clicky triggers and face buttons, and Pro gets four back buttons you map yourself, so your thumbs never leave the sticks.
